Oxidized Silver

Oxidized silver is when silver has been exposed to oxygen for a long period of time, creating a darkened look, but this look can also be expedited by exposing it to sulfur.

Okay.. enough of all this chemical talk.. The look is very rustic, but can also be very minimal because it is black. There really is no other way to get black metal jewelry. It just looks so different and modernized compared to your usual gold or silver.

New babies & New Beginnings

I'm back~~~

It's been way too long and there has been so much going on with my life. From interning and going to school it was impossible for me to find anytime to blog. It was literally 9AM to 10PM everyday of the week. Yes, weekends too!

But I've finally graduated.. Again! And this time I'm ready to get down to serious business. ;)

Right now I am becoming accustomed to my new 9-6 schedule. With the weekends all mine, I feel like I can finally have some important ME time (I just took an afternoon nap *gasp*) and of course some time to dedicate myself to this wonderful space. 

And without further ado, let me introduce you to my new babies.

I've been dreaming of purchasing these babies for years, and now it is finally mine. Muhahahaha. 

I literally spazzed at Barneys while making this purchase. This is the perfect graduation present to myself and a great gateway for new beginnings at this blog.

So... Ever since I saw a girl in school wearing these grey acne shearling jackets, I've been obsessing over every shearling soft and snuggly shearling jacket. They also drape very nicely. Sigh If Only...

The weather is getting colder, and I'm getting more excited... 

Why?

Because... Brace yourselves, Winter is coming. And that means everything I hold near and dear to me will also be coming: Birthday, Holidays, Days off, SNOW~

I absolutely Love Love Love with 3 capital Ls, Winter. The chill just wakes me up, and the stillness of snow falling just brings tears to my eyes.

Seriously! This is no joke. I was born in to Winter and I cannot wait to feel those feelings again. 

But be still my heart for it is still Fall. And transitional weather styling has always been a pain in the butt because I don't want to sweat through my shirt in the afternoon and turn into a popsicle at night.  

So that's why I love that wrapping a button up around your waist is not a "uncool" thing anymore. It's just so easy and carefree. And honestly, I Don't Care because I'm just waiting for Fall to be over so it can be Winter again.

Overall & Dots.

Overalls are making a huge comeback, and I seriously love them to death. It reminds me of my childhood and just screams playfulness. But honestly, it is hard to find the right overall, with the right fit and style that doesn't make you look like a messy 4 year old, or a painter getting ready to work. 

It's a miracle how perfect these uniqlo overalls were.  They were a serious steal and did not have get a loan to covet it ~ and I even got it on sale. Ahh. I told my heart to wait, and patient definitely won at the end of the day which makes me heart these jeans so much more. 

It is so effortless and can be styled with practically everything in my closet. I swore I wore this more than once a week and always received compliments on it. 

Regardless of how long the overall trend stays, these jeans are definitely worth keeping in my closet for as long as I can hold on. Who knows... maybe they will make a comeback again after another 10-29 years...
